Search and quick actions
Find any client, task, strategy or comment from the keyboard, and create things without hunting for the right menu.
Search from anywhere
Press Ctrl K (⌘K on a Mac) or use the search box at the top of the sidebar. Start typing and results appear grouped by type: clients, websites, tasks, strategies, campaigns, content, opportunities, comments, meetings and files, with your words highlighted.
- Arrow keys move through the results and Enter opens one. Hold Ctrl or ⌘ with Enter to open it in a new tab.
- Tab narrows the search to one type, and tabs through the types.
- Escape closes the search.
- With nothing typed, the search shows what you recently viewed, which is often the quickest way back.
Search respects permissions. You only see results from clients you can access, and clients searching in the portal only see their own organisation’s shared information.
Create things quickly
The New… button under the search box opens the quick actions. Press C from anywhere to open the same list. The actions include:
- New task (shortcut N)
- New meeting
- New strategy
- New campaign
- New report
- Convert opportunity and New client
The actions you see depend on your role. Each opens the normal form, so nothing is hidden from you; it just saves the navigation.
Habits that save time
- Press C, then pick. It is faster than finding the right page.
- Search by a distinctive word, such as a URL fragment or a client’s name, rather than a long phrase.
- Use Tab to limit the results when a common word matches everywhere.
