Terms
The terms for using the SEO Ops plugin and Premium. Last updated 6 October 2026.
1. Accepting these terms
By downloading, installing or using SEO Ops, or by buying Premium, you agree to these terms. If you are using it for a business, you confirm that you can agree on its behalf. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
2. The plugin and its licence
SEO Ops is a WordPress plugin released under the GNU General Public License, version 2 or later. Nothing in these terms limits the rights that licence gives you. These terms cover our relationship with you as a user and, for Premium, as a customer.
3. Free and Premium
The Free plugin can be used without an account. Premium adds functionality and needs a paid account and licence. What each includes is described on the Free vs Premium page, and plans and prices on the Pricing page.
4. Premium accounts, payment and refunds
- Prices and billing terms are shown on the Pricing page and at checkout.
- You must give accurate account and billing details and keep your login and licence key private.
- Refunds: Premium subscriptions can be cancelled at any time. Refunds are handled in accordance with our refund policy and Terms of Service.
5. Your responsibilities
- Keep WordPress, PHP (8.1 or newer) and your site backed up and secure.
- You are responsible for the data you put in SEO Ops, including your clients’ information, and for having the right to use it and following data protection law.
- Keep your API keys and credentials for other services private.
- Do not use the plugin to break the law or other people’s rights.
6. Third-party services
SEO Ops can connect to services such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4, OpenAI, Google Gemini and Screaming Frog exports. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by those services, WordPress.org or Screaming Frog. Their own terms apply to your use of them and we are not responsible for them.
7. AI features
AI features create drafts and suggestions that can be wrong or incomplete. SEO Ops is built so a person reviews them before a client sees them. You are responsible for checking anything you send to a client.
8. No warranty
The plugin is provided “as is”, without any warranty of any kind, as the GPL says. We try to make it reliable, but we cannot promise it will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that it will suit every site or plugin combination.
9. Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of profit, loss of data or loss of business arising from using the plugin. Our total liability to you in connection with Premium is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
10. Support
We give support for Premium customers with reasonable care and skill, but we do not guarantee response times. The Free plugin is supported on a best-efforts basis.
11. Ending your use
You can stop using SEO Ops at any time. We can suspend or end a Premium licence if these terms are seriously broken or the licence is misused. Ending a licence does not affect rights you have under the GPL.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep using SEO Ops after a change, you accept the new terms. For Premium customers we will give notice of changes that matter.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction, unless the law where you live gives you the right to use your local courts.
