Privacy
What we do and do not collect, in plain English. Last updated 6 October 2026.
The short version
The SEO Ops plugin runs on your own WordPress site. We do not hold any data about plugin installs: not your site, your clients, your websites, your tasks, your reports or anything else you enter into the plugin.
The only personal data we hold is the account details of people who buy or use Premium, so we can provide the licence, take payment and give support.
Who we are
SEO Ops is made by Cultured Digital (“we”, “us”). Questions about privacy, or a request about your data: get in touch.
What we hold
- Premium account details: your name, email address and billing details.
- Licence and purchase records: what you bought, when, and the licence that goes with it.
- Support messages: anything you send us when you ask for help.
We do not hold, and have no access to, the data inside your SEO Ops installation. The plugin can check seoclientplugin.com for new versions: that request contains only the plugin version, and our web host’s ordinary server logs record it like any page visit. We do not use those logs to identify or follow installs. You can switch update checks off in wp-config.php.
Why we use it
- To provide the Premium licence and any Premium functionality you have paid for (performing our contract with you).
- To take payment and keep the financial records the law requires (legal obligation).
- To answer support requests and keep the service working and secure (our legitimate interests).
Who we share it with
We use a payment provider to take payment, and only the other services we need to run Premium and give support. We share data with accountants or legal advisers where we have to. We never sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
Your site, your clients and third-party services
- Everything you enter into SEO Ops, including your clients’ details, is stored in your WordPress database. You are responsible for it, and for telling your own clients how you use it.
- If you connect a service such as Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4, OpenAI or Google Gemini, your site talks to that service directly using your own credentials. We do not see that traffic. Their privacy policies apply to what you send them.
How long we keep it
We keep Premium account details while your account is active, and then only for as long as we need them. That includes the period the law requires us to keep financial records. Support messages are kept only as long as they are useful.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, or have a copy in a portable format. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk) in the UK, or to your local data protection authority.
Changes to this page
If we change this page we will update the date above. If the change matters to Premium customers we will tell them.
